Mrs. Donnabelle W. Britton

Funeral services for Mrs. Donnabelle W. Britton, 73, of 302 E. Borley Ave., will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday in the Bubb Funeral Chapel.  Mrs. Britton died at 10:10 p.m. Saturday in the South Bend Osteopathic Hospital, following a long illness.  She was born April, 28, 1894 in Mishawaka, and had lived here for most of her life, except for 25 years spent in Fort Wayne.  On July, 2, 1921, as Donnabelle W. Bickel, she was married to Paul Britton in St. Joseph Mich.  She had been employed at the Scott Bowling Alley in Fort Wayne for many years.  Mrs. Britton was a member of the First Christian Church and of the Ladies Auxiliary of the American Legion, Mishawaka Post 161.  Surviving besides her husband, are four brothers, Charles A. Bickel, George M. Bickel and Donald P. Bickel all of Mishawaka, and Robert C. Bickel, Edwardsburg; two sisters, Mrs. Dorothy Bickel and Mrs. Robert Havens, both of Mishawaka, and many nieces and nephews.  Friends may call in the Bubb Chapel after 7 p.m. today.  Rev. Raymond D. Harris, pastor of the First Christian Church, will officiate at the services Wednesday, and burial will be in City Cemetery.
