Mary Lou Bromeling, 74, of the Healthwin Nursing Home in South Bend, Ind., passed away at 12:10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 1, in Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center, South Bend. Mary Lou was born Nov. 12, 1926, in Pauxico, Mo., to Charles and Lucile (Hubbard) Hensley, who have both preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her son, George Bromeling, and daughter, Mitzi B. Hulitt.

Mary Lou leaves to cherish her memories her son, Donald C. Bromeling Sr. of South Bend; her daughter, Deborah L. Surpas of North Liberty, Ind.; her brother, Charles Hensley of North Liberty; and by seven grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Mary Lou attended Faith Apostolic Temple in South Bend where she also served on the Mothers Board. She was a member of the U.A.W., and volunteered for Real Services from their St. Joseph Tower Office.

Funeral services will be at noon on Saturday, Aug. 4, with visitation two hours prior. Pastor Eddie Mill will be officiating. Interment will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Memorial donations may be made to Faith Apostolic Temple or to the Healthwin Nursing Home activities department.
