SOUTH BEND - Marjorie Julia Bromley, 73, of Statesville, N.C., formerly of South Bend, died Monday in her home of natural causes. Mrs. Bromley retired from RACO Inc.
She was born April 1, 1922, in South Bend and lived in South Bend until 12 years ago.
On Nov. 2, 1940, as Marjorie Blendeman, she married Richard Eugene Bromley. He died Feb. 9, 1993. She is survived by a daughter, Elizabeth K. Bromley of Middletown, Wis.; four sons, Dr. Ben L. of Noblesville, Ind., Robert E. and Richard D., both of Statesville, and James M. of Middlebury; 13 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a sister, Jenny Meyer of New Carlisle.
Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. today in New Hope Baptist Church, Statesville. Cremation has taken place. Burial will be in the church cemetery at a later date. Bunch-Johnson Funeral Home, Statesville, is in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to the church or any charity.
