Louise C. Brothers

Louise C. Brothers, 83, formerly of McKinley Highway In Osceola, Ind., passed away on Saturday, Nov. 13, in the Eastlake Nursing Home, Elkhart, Ind. Louise was born on March 18, 1921, in Point Cedar, Ark., to Preston and Mabel (Douthit) Hunt. On July 16, 1943, in French Lick, Ind., she married Paul R. Brothers, who preceded her in death on Aug. 6, 1999. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Jack Hunt, Gerald Hunt and Horace Hunt; and by her grandson, Knoal K. Seifert.

 

Louise is survived by her sons, Larry (Linda) Brothers of Brownsburg, Ind., and Darrell (Debra) Brothers of Granger, Ind.; a daughter, Brenda (Konrad) Seifert of Elkhart; brothers, Joe Hunt of Hot Springs, Ark., Paul Hunt of Vidor, Texas, and Donald Hunt of Hot Springs; sisters, Vedra J. Britton of Hot Springs, Norma Becker of Little Rock, Ark., Virginia Saunders of Hot Springs, Hazel Orfanos of Little Rock and D.J. Hunt of Springfield, Mo.; and four grandchildren, Paul, John, Matt and Brooke.

 

Friends may visit in the Chapel Hill Funeral Home on Monday from 6 to 8 p.m., with funeral services on Tuesday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Memorial donations may be made to Alzheimer's of Elkhart County. Louise formerly attended St. Mark Missionary Church in Mishawaka, Ind. Louise was a homemaker who loved flowers and gardening. She was a volunteer and worked in Elkhart General Hospital. She had a great love for music.
