Paul R. Brothers

Paul R. Brothers, 80, of McKinley Highway, Osceola, Ind., passed away on Friday, Aug. 6, in the Sunbridge Nursing Home, Elkhart, Ind.

Paul was born on Aug. 28, 1918, in West Baden, Ind., to Isaih and Kathrin (Dickens) Brothers. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Cecil Brothers; and by two sisters, Agnes Payton and Ethel Powell.

On July 16, 1943, in French Lick, Ind., Paul married Louise C. Hunt. Paul leaves to cherish his memories his loving wife; two sons, Larry (Linda) Brothers of Brownsburg, Ind., and Darrell (Debra) Brothers of Granger, Ind.; a daughter, Brenda (Konrad) Seifert of Elkhart; a brother, Lloyd Brothers of Kelseyville, Calif.; two sisters, Alice Mahan of Sandusky, Ohio, and Edith Riss of Elroy, Wis.; and five grandchildren.

Paul served in the U.S. Army, was discharged in 1945 and moved to Osceola. Paul was a member of the Moose Lodge, Construction Laborers Union, and St. Mark Missionary Church. Paul loved his family, and also enjoyed gardening, crafts and carpentry. He was employed by Sollitt, and retired in 1980 after 40 years of service.

Friends may visit from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 9, in the Chapel Hill Funeral Home. Funeral services will be private.
