MISHAWAKA - Floyd G. Brown Sr., 76, of Locust Street, Mishawaka, passed away in his residence at 7:58 a.m. Sunday, May 11th, 2008, following an extended illness. He was born September 8, 1931, in Mishawaka, to Arthur and Stella Brown, who preceded him in death along with his former wife, Edna Mae Brown, who died in 1991.

On July 1, 2000, in Mishawaka, he married the former Mandy Replogle. She survives with four children, Floyd G. (Sandy) Brown Jr. of Niles, Michigan, Nancy Lee Brown of South Bend, Walter Brown and Harlan Brown, both of Mishawaka. Thirteen grandchildren and two great-grandchildren survive with four sisters, Marthetta Witham of Mishawaka, Goldie Beck of Mishawaka, Geraldine Colburn of Mishawaka and Nancy Edwards of Lake Station, Indiana. He was preceded in death by two brothers.

Funeral services will be held at noon on Thursday in the Bubb Funeral Chapel, Mishawaka, where friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, and two hours prior to the services on Thursday. Officiating will be Pastor Mark Black of Hillcrest Baptist Church. Burial will follow the services at Fairview Cemetery, Mishawaka. Mr. Brown was a member of VFW Post #360, Mishawaka, and the Hillcrest Baptist Church, Mishawaka. He currently worked as a greeter at Meijer on 331 for the last eight years. He was also a veteran of the United States Army. Contributions in memory of Floyd may be made to the family c/o the Bubb Funeral Chapel.
