Eleanor Bernice Bruce, 76, of South Brookfield Street, South Bend, Ind., died at 6:05 a.m. on Saturday, May 30, in Hospice House. She was born on Oct. 1, 1921, in South Bend, and was a lifelong area resident. She was retired from the National Mill Supply Company. She was a member of St. Adalbert Catholic Church and the Forever Learning Institute.

 

Mrs. Bruce is survived by two daughters, Christine Bruce and Susan Sisk, both of South Bend; two sons, Larry (Helen) Bruce and Gary Bruce, both of South Bend; three grandchildren, Stacy (David) Nicodemus, Aaron Bertman and William Sisk, all of South Bend; and by a brother, Marion Zielinski of South Bend. She was preceded in death by a sister, Phyllis Norris; and by six brothers, George Zielinski, Clement Zielinski, Chester Zielinski, Louis Zielinski, Sylvester Zielinski and Joseph Zielinski.

 

Family and friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. today in the St. Joseph Funeral Home, 824 S. Mayflower Road, where a Rosary will be said at 6 p.m. today. Services will be at 11 a.m on Monday in St. Adalbert Catholic Church with burial to follow in St. Joseph Cemetery.
