Mrs. Pauline F. Bruggner

Mrs. Pauline F. Bruggner, aged 77, of 311 North Main Street, died in her home at 4:40 p.m. Sunday.  She was ill only one day, with coronary thrombosis.  Born in Baden, Germany, June 24, 1869, she went to Mishawaka in 1885 and came to South Bend in 1889.  In 1889 she was married in Mishawaka to Dominic Bruggner.  He died in 1933.  Surviving are two daughters, Hildegarde Bruggner, South Bend, and Mrs. Zita P. , Denver, Colo; three sons, Frank J. Bruggner and Louis V. Bruggner, South Bend, and Godfrey N. Bruggner, Fort Wayne, Ind,; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Zita and a brother, Charles both of South Bend.  The late Mr. Bruggner was a shoe merchant here 25 years.  Friends may call tonight in the Hickey funeral home and until the funeral at 9 a.m. Wednesday in St. Joseph Catholic Church.  Rev. Philip V. C.S.C., pastor, will sing the mass.  Burial will be in Cedar Grove cemetery.

Pallbearers for Mrs. Pauline Bruggner, 311 North Main street, whose funeral will take place at 9 a.m. Wednesday in St. Joseph Catholic church, will be William Bruggner, Eugene C. Futter, Otto J. Futterknecht, Eugene T. Corcoran and Ronald Bickel, of South Bend, and Paul Bruggner, of Fort Wayne, Ind.  Rev. Philip V. Beaghan, C.S.C., pastor of St. Joseph church, will sing the mass.  Burial will be in Cedar Grove cemetery.  Friends may call at the Hickey funeral home where the rosary will be recited at 8:15 p.m. today.
