MISHAWAKA - Fred W. Bubb, 89, of Mishawaka, died Thursday,
May 1, 2008, in the Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center in South
Bend. Fred was born in Mishawaka on August 18, 1918, to Fred H.
and Norma (Eberlein) Bubb, who preceded him in death.
He married Mildred Seltzer on July 13, 1940,
who preceded him in death on December 11, 1995. He is survived by
a nephew, Michael (Sharon) Tirotta of Dowagiac, Michigan;
three nieces, Nancy (Harry) Breske of Mishawaka, Norma
(Wayne) Holmes of Mishawaka and Sandra (Joe) Plank
of Elkhart. Fred was the owner and operator of Bubb Funeral
Chapel in Mishawaka for over 60 years. He served his country
during World War II in the United States Navy on the PT Boat
Squadron. He was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church for many
years and was also a member of VFW Post #360, the Michiana
Walleye Association and Mishawaka Eagles #2083.
Private services were held in the Bubb
Funeral Chapel for close family and friends, where Pastor Bryan
Borger officiated. Memorial contributions may be made to St.
