Wavie Bunch

Mrs. Wavie Nolen Bunch, aged 56, of 170 East Pulling road, died at 11:45 p.m. Monday in an automobile en route to St. Joseph's hospital, this city. She had been ill of a heart ailment for a year.

 

Born in St. Joseph county July 12, 1889, she had spent nearly all her life in the county.

 

Her marriage to Glave S. Bunch, of South Bend, took place in Cassopolis, Mich., March 21, 1900.

 

Surviving are her husband; three children, Mrs. Norma Stalter and Glave Spencer Bunch jr., South Bend, and Pfc. William K. Bunch, Camp Atterbury, Ind.; a grandson; a brother, Shannon Nolen, of Lakeville, and five sisters, Mrs. Maude Donathen, Mrs. Gertrude Tumbleson, Mrs. Margaret Finch and Mrs. Ethel Schafer of Lakeville, and Mrs. Myrtle Howell, South Bend. Two sons, Miles T. and Richard E. Bunch, preceded her in death.

 

The body will be taken from the Hartman funeral home in Lakeville, this county, tonight to the residence, where friends may call until Thursday noon.

 

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Stuli Methodist church, of which she had been a member 29 years. Rev. Clyde Pierce, pastor of the church, and Rev. E. M. Fredericks, of Olive Branch United Brethren church, will officiate.

 

Burial will be in Lakeville cemetery.
