May 21, 1913 - April 11, 2010OSCEOLA - Ida A. Burkholder, 96, of DeLand, FL, passed away Sunday, April 11, 2010. She was born on May 21, 1913, in Randolph County, Ind., and graduated in 1929 from Governor I.P. Gray High School as valedictorian. She was known for being a homemaker and was a longtime member of Stetson Baptist Church. She was an exceptional seamstress, and her enjoyments in life were many, including sewing and playing cards. Survivors include her son, Gerald Burkholder of DeLand, FL; daughters, Barbara Chamberlin of Ohio, Clarice Babbitt of DeLand and Janet Geyer of Indiana; 31 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren and 12 great-great-grandchildren. Services will be Saturday, April 24, 2010, at 11 a.m. in the Zimmerman-Inman Funeral Home, with Pastor Rick Gering officiating. Visitation will also be Saturday from 9 to 11 a.m. in the funeral home.
