SOUTH BEND - Omer I. Burk, 83, of
54383 Terrace Lane, died at 1:20 p.m. Wednesday in Memorial
Hospital after an illness. Mr. Burk retired in 1974 as a route
salesman for Pepsi-Cola General Bottlers after 35 years of
service. He was born Dec. 4, 1910, in Kewanna, and lived in South
Bend most of his life.
On Dec. 3, 1938, in South Bend, he married
Juanita C. Ullery. She died Oct. 15, 1983. He is survived
by a daughter, Sharon L. Hinton of Mishawaka; a son, Larry
L. of Mishawaka; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. A
son, Gary J., died in 1972. He was a member of Masonic Lodge 130,
Mishawaka.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Bubb
Funeral Chapel North, 3910 N. Main St., Mishawaka. Burial will be
in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger. Friends may call
from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday in the funeral home.
