Cecil D. Butler

September 29, 1908 - May 16, 1971

Word has been received here of the death of Cecil Butler, 62, of Bluffton IN, a former South Bend resident.  He died May 16 and services were held May 19 in St Joseph's Catholic Church, Bluffton, Msgr. James Conroy, pastor, officiating.  Burial was in Elm Grove Cemetery. He was the owner-operator of the Western Auto Store, Bluffton, for 11 years.

Born September 29, 1908, in Muncie IN, he married Madeline Van Heesbeke on July 4, 1933, in South Bend.  She survives, along with three sons, David of Bluffton, Thomas of Fort Wayne and John at home; a daughter, Mrs. Gerald (Mary) Fisher of Denver CO; two brothers, Rolland of South Bend, and Ross of Phoenix AZ; three sisters, Mrs. Virginia Runyon, Mrs. Violet Nielsen and Mrs. Vera Howell, all of South Bend, and five grandchildren.  Mr. Butler moved to Bluffton in 1949 from South Bend.
