Joseph Bykowski Sr

April 23, 1912 – October 9, 1985

Joseph Bykowski, Sr., 73, of 525 S. Brookfield St., died at 8:15pm Wednesday in St Joseph’s Medical Center after an illness.  Mr. Bykowski retired from the maintenance department of the University of Notre Dame. 

He was born April 23, 1912, in South Bend, where he lived all his life.  On December 31, 1932, in South Bend, he married the former Kathryn Tomaszewski.  She survives with a son, Joseph Jr. of South Bend; four grandchildren; and a great grandchild.

Services will be at 10am Saturday in St Adalbert’s Catholic Church, of which Mr. Bykowski was a member.  Entombment will be in Resurrection Gardens Mausoleum at St Joseph Cemetery.

Friends may call from 2 to 9pm Friday in St Joseph Funeral Home, where a parish wake service will be at 7:30pm Friday.  Mr. Bykowski was a member of Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 58.  He was inducted into the South Bend Bowlers Hall of Fame.
