Thomas A. "Booner" Caddy Jr.

June 23, 1968 - April 8, 2007

 

SOUTH BEND - Thomas Allen "Booner" Caddy Jr., 38, of South Bend, Indiana, passed away in Saint Joseph's Regional Medical Center of South Bend on Sunday, April 8, 2007.

 

Tom was born June 23, 1968, in South Bend, Indiana, to Thomas Allen Sr. and Elizabeth (Carter) Caddy. Tom is survived by his daughters, Sunni Leona Caddy and Brianna Lynn Caddy of South Bend; three sisters, Bethanne (Dennis) Burtzlaff of Niles, MI, Toni (Brian) Davis of Sylva, MO, and Kelly (Melvin) Mahler of South Bend; as well as a stepbrother, Christopher Blondeel of Warsaw, IN; and stepmother, Jean Caddy of South Bend. Tom is also survived by four nieces, Kayla and Katie Caddy of Missouri, and Sarah and Liesa Mahler of South Bend; and two nephews, Anthony and Michael Caddy of South Bend; as well as a favorite cousin, Matthew Fisette; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Tom was preceded in death by his parents, and grandparents, John Forest and Lillian Caddy, and Russell K. and Esther C. Carter; a brother, Robert Lincoln Carter; and his special love, Patty Cummins.

 

Memorial service for Booner will be held at a later date. In his spare time, Tom loved his pets, snakes, mice, dogs and cats, rock-and-roll music, tattoos and football, especially the Indianapolis Colts, Purdue Boilermakers and the Penn State Nittany Lions. Tom also liked watching Orange County Choppers and was in the process of building his own chopper which he named "Nothing Fancy." In his memory, donations may be made to the Pet Refuge in Mishawaka.
