Robert C. Callaway

SOUTH BEND - Robert C. Callaway, 77, of Central Avenue, died at 4:05 a.m. today in Countryside Place, Mishawaka, after an illness. Mr. Callaway retired in 1983 from Bendix Corp. after 35 years of service as a tool and die maker. He was born April 14, 1917, in Rochester, and was a lifelong area resident.

 

His wife, Margaret Kara Callaway, died Nov. 3, 1975. He is survived by a daughter, Tina Jo Jurjevich of Huntsville, Ala.; two sons, Terry and Kevin, both of Mishawaka; seven grandchildren; and a great-grandson. He was a member of Eagles Lodge 435 and a veteran of World War II.

 

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in Hickey Funeral Home, 17131 Cleveland Road. Entombment will be in Riverview Mausoleum. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday in the funeral home.
