Francis R. Carrico

GRANGER - Services for Francis R. Carrico, 91, of Cleveland Road, who died at 9:50 a.m. Friday in St. Joseph's Medical Center, will be at 10 a.m. Monday in St. Pius X Catholic Church.

Burial will be in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park.

 

Friends may call from 2 to 6 p.m. today in Hickey Funeral Home, 17131 Cleveland Road, where the rosary will be said at 5 p.m.

 

Mr. Carrico retired in 1977 from the University of Notre Dame after 42 years of service. He was born Oct. 11, 1902, in Graywick, Ky., and lived here most of his life.

 

On Feb. 11, 1929, in St. Francis, Ky., he married Sarah Anna Osborn. She survives with four daughters, Mary Louise Botkin of Holiday, Fla., Linda Sue Delahanty of West Branch, Mich., and Rita Ann Merrill and Rebecca Wayman, both of Granger; two sons, Joseph P. of Chicago and Louis G. (Jerry) of Mishawaka; 16 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Alma Miles of Loretto, Ky., and Aline Shoppa of Lake Station, Ind. A son, James, died in 1962.

 

He was a member of the church and its Senior Group.
