Esther C. Carter

April 20, 1912 – August 31, 1990

Services for Esther C. Carter, 78, of 5024 Western Avenue, who died at 8:25pm Friday in Memorial Hospital, will be at 10am Tuesday at Guisinger Colonial Chapel Funeral Home.  Burial will be at ST Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm Monday in the funeral home.  Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.

Mr. Carter was a homemaker.  Born April 20, 1912, in Roann IN, she had lived in this area since 1934, coming from Roann.  On March 24, 1934, in South Bend, as Esther Croft, she married Russell K. Carter, who died December 21, 1976.  Surviving are two daughters, Beverly Jean Sisette and Elizabeth Ann Murray, both of South Bend; four sons, Harold Eugene and Kenneth Russell, both of South Bend, Walter John of Boise ID and Robert Lincoln of Goshen; 19 grandchildren; 32 great grandchildren; a sister, Sarah Kelly of Indianapolis; and a brother, George Croft of Marion IN.
