SOUTH BEND - Hubert L. Carver, 62, of
58541 Crumstown Highway, died at 6:05 a.m. Tuesday in St.
Joseph's Care Center-West after an illness. Mr. Carver retired in
1986 from Bendix Corp. and from Ironworkers Local 294. He was
born March 29, 1931, in Bristol, Tenn., and lived in South Bend
for 39 years, coming from Bristol.
On Dec. 7, 1953, in Bristol, he married
Pearl Tittle. She survives with two sons, Michael and
Daniel, both of South Bend; his mother, Mary Carver of Bristol;
two sisters, Betty Crusenberry of Bristol, Va., and Imo
Gene Facey of Las Vegas; and seven brothers, L.D. of South
Bend, Bill of Detroit, Jack of Indianapolis, Bob of Bristol, Va.,
Sam of Granger, Ralph of Elkhart and Jim of Tucson, Ariz.
Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Rock
Hill Baptist Church, Bristol, Tenn. Burial will be in Greenwood
Cemetery, Bristol. Friends may call from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m.
today in St. Joseph Funeral Home, South Bend.
