Catherine Catanzarite

Catherine Catanzarite, 86, of East Battell Street, Mishawaka, Ind., died at 1 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 22, in the home of her daughter in Osceola, Ind.

 

She was born Nov. 29, 1910, in Plati, Italy, and had lived here since 1929. As Catherine Trimboli, she married Francesco Catanzarite in Plati, Italy, on Feb. 28, 1929, who preceded her in death on June 5, 1980.

 

Catherine is survived by two daughters, Elizabeth Catanzarite of Massena, N.Y., and Anna Marie Long of Osceola; four sons, Roy of South Bend, Ind., Joseph of Mishawaka, Anthony of Muncie, Ind., and Frank of Edwardsburg, Mich.; 22 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; one sister, Francesca Barbaro of Griffith, Australia; and a brother, Bruno Trimboli of Rome, Italy.

 

Catherine was a member of St. Monica Catholic Church, the Rosary Society and the Legion of Mary.

 

Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday in Bubb Funeral Chapel North, 3910 N. Main St., where the rosary will be recited at 3:45 p.m.

 

The funeral Mass will be concelebrated by Fr. William Sullivan, Fr. Elden Miller and Fr. Camillo Tirabassi at 10 a.m. on Tuesday in St. Monica Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Mishawaka.
