SOUTH BEND - Anne Cavich, 94, passed away on Sunday, May
25, 2008, in Hickory Creek at Columbus Nursing Home, Columbus,
Indiana. Anne was born on April 18, 1914, in South Bend, to
Fabian and Rozallia (Borosh) Horvath. She retired
in 1971 as co-owner of the Niles Pines Mobile Estate Park and was
also the co-developer of JC Sunset Shores at Barron Lake. Anne
was a member of Sts. Peter & Paul Serbian Orthodox Church,
its Circle of Serbian Sisters and the American Legion Post 26
Ladies Auxiliary.
On November 21, 1937, in South Bend, as Anne
Horvath she married Jack Cavich. He died on March 19, 1981. Anne
was also preceded in death by two sisters, Sophie Cash and
Irene Williams; and two brothers, Julius Horvath and
Joseph Horvath. Surviving are a son, Gene (Kim Powers)
Cavich of Columbus, IN; and two grandchildren, Leigh (Chris)
Cavich-Grimes of Princeton, NJ and Jason Cavich of
Orlando, FL.
Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00
noon Thursday, May 29, 2008, in Sts. Peter & Paul Serbian
Orthodox Church, 59250 Keria Trail, South Bend, IN 46614. Burial
will follow in Silverbrook Cemetery, Niles, MI. Family and
friends may call one hour prior to services in the church.
Zahoran Funeral Home, 1826 S. Kemble Avenue is handling the
arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be
made to Hospice of South Central Indiana, 2400 E. 17th Street,
Columbus, IN 47202 or to Sts. Peter & Paul Serbian Orthodox
Church.
