Clement B. Celmer

July 23, 1942 - Jan. 2, 1999

Clement B. Celmer, 56, of Locust Road, South Bend, Ind., formerly of Indianapolis, Ind., died at his residence on Saturday afternoon of an apparent heart attack while shoveling snow.

Mr. Celmer was born on July 23, 1942, in South Bend, to Clement W. And Irene (Hagman) Celmer, and had returned to South Bend six years ago, coming from Indianapolis.

He is survived by four sisters, Suzanne (Donald) Holloway of Marcellus, Mich., Joyce (Dennis) Dee of Michigan City, Ind., Beverly (Dale) Wooten of South Bend and Joan (Dennis) Laughlin of Bolingbrook, Ill; eight nieces; five nephews; one great-niece; and one great-nephew.

Mr. Celmer was employed as a bookkeeper for the Sampson Fiberglass Company in South Bend, and had previously been employed at the former Lucas Interiors in Indianapolis. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Friday in the Welsheimer Funeral Home North, 17033 Cleveland Road, South Bend. Entombment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, South Bend.

Friends may call from 3 to 7 p.m. on Thursday in the funeral home, where a wake prayer service will be held at 6:30 p.m.
