Valentine J. (Bill) Celmer

December 27, 1909February 1, 1980

 

Valentine J. Celmer, 70 , of 25130 Edison, was found dead in his car at about 6:30pm Friday at Allied Stamping Products, 601 W. Broadway, where he apparently collapsed from a heart attack after leaving work. He was retired from Allied Stamping Products but was working part time as a consultant.  He had also worked for the Studebaker Co for several years.

 

He was born on December 27, 1909, in South Bend, and had lived here all his life.  On June 2, 1934, in South Bend, he married Evelyn Sochocki.  She survives, along with a daughter, Mrs. Rose Marie Burkhart of South Bend; a son, Timothy D. of South Bend; six grandchildren; three great grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Josephine Gotowka, Mrs. Helen Cybulski and Mrs. Gertrude Woloszyn, all of South Bend and a brother, Roman of St Joseph MI.

 

Services will be at 10am Tuesday in St Stanislaus Catholic Church.  Rev. Casimir Grabarz, CSC, will officiate.  Burial will be in St Joseph Cemetery.  Friends may call from 2 to 9pm Sunday and Monday in the St Joseph Funeral Home, where a parish rosary will be recited at 7:30 pm Monday.
