SOUTH BEND - Raymond P. Cerri, 61, of South Bend, passed
away following a lengthy illness on Sunday morning, Sept. 21, in
Memorial Hospital. Ray was born April 12, 1947, in Mishawaka, a
son of Raymond A. and Amelia (Orban) Cerri. He grew up in
Mishawaka and was a graduate of Mishawaka High School. Ray was
employed at South Bend Stamping (Allied Products) from 1968 until
the plant closed in 1999. He had worked various places since then
and was last employed at Corporate Services. Ray particularly
enjoyed 50s and early 60s rock-and-roll music. During his life he
made many longtime friends. Ray's surviving family includes his
brothers, David (Shonie) Cerri and Mark Cerri of Mishawaka. Ray
was preceded in death by his parents.
There will be no services or visitation. A
private family burial will be held at a later date in Fairview
Cemetery, Mishawaka. Arrangements are in the care of the
Thallemer, Goethals & Wells Funeral Home, 503 W. Third
Street, Mishawaka.
