Manson H. Chambers

Manson H. Chambers, 91, of St. Joseph Street, South Bend, Ind, died at 1:13 a.m., Saturday, in his residence. He was a warehouse supervisor for General Liquors, retiring in 1970. He was born on July 2, 1905, in Lewis, Ind.

 

On June 23, 1965, in Tennessee, he married Betty J. McDonald, who survives. He is also survived by two sisters, Dorothy Miller of Marcellus, Mich. and Elsie Rodgers of Kalamazoo, Mich. Five brothers preceded him in death. Manson was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie No. 435, and a member of the Teamsters No. 364 Retirees. He also enjoyed fishing and gardening.

 

Services will be at 1 p.m., Tuesday, in Guisinger Colonial Chapel, 3718 S. Michigan St., South Bend, and burial will be at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m., Monday, in the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Cancer Society of St. Joseph County.
