Services for
Verna H. Chase, 91, of Carlyle Healthcare Center, who died at 9:20pm
Saturday in Memorial Hospital, will be at 11am Wednesday in
Welsheimer Funeral Home, 521 N. William St. Burial will be
in Chapel Hill Memorial Garden, Osceola. Friends may call
from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8pm Tuesday in the funeral home. Memorial
contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Mrs. Chase was an
employee of the former Wilson Brothers factory.
She was born June 24, 1897, in South Bend, and was a lifelong
area resident. On September 10, 1922, in South Bend, she
married Arthur M. Chase. He died May 21, 1978. She is
survived by a sister, Ruby Mabry of Crystal River FL; a brother,
Arthur Geist of Crystal River; and two nieces and a nephew.
She was a member of Epworth Memorial United Methodist Church,
Pythian Sisters Moonlight Temple 255 and Order of Eastern Star
Chapter 2.
