OSCEOLA - Kenneth D. Chevrie Sr., 62, of 54152 Ash Road, died at 11:15 a.m. Saturday in his home after an illness. Mr. Chevrie retired in 1990 as the owner/operator of Ken's Old Fashioned Meat Market, Mishawaka. He was born Oct. 16, 1933, in Mishawaka and was a lifelong area resident. In

August 1953, in South Bend, he married Claire M. Pherson. She died Jan. 20, 1994. Surviving are two daughters, Cherrene Drury of Mishawaka and Cynthia Cartwright of Granger; a son, Ken Jr. of Osceola; seven grandchildren; and two brothers, Roy Jr. of South Bend and Lonnie of Abilene, Texas. He was was a Korean War veteran.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Chapel Hill Funeral Home. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday in the funeral home.
