Paul F. Chidister
Paul F. Chidister, 84, of 906 E. Irvington Ave. died at 4
a.m. Sunday
in Ridgedale Nursing Center. He retired in 1968 from Bendix Corp. Born
Sept 3,
1900, in Ligonier. Mr. Chidister lived in south Bend most of his life. On
June 9, 1928, in south Bend, he married the former Josephine Bernhardt,
who
survives. Also surviving are a daughters, Phylis Forbes of South Bend; a
grandchild; and a sister, Harriet Cocanower of Mishawaka.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Forest G. Hay
Funeral home,
435 S. Ironwood Drive, and burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial
Gardens,
Osceola. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral
home, where
South Bend Moose 58 will lead a memorial service at 7 p.m. Mr. Chidister
was
a member of Faith United Methodist Church and Loyal Order of Moose 98.
Memorial contributions may be made to the church or to the American
Arthritis
Foundation.
