SOUTH BEND - Bernice R. Childress, 102, died Saturday in Sanctuary at St. Paul's. She is survived by her daughter, Betty Lou Nimtz (Roger) of South Bend; her son, Robert L. Childress (Georganna) of Edmond, OK; four grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Private graveside services will be held at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger, at a later date. Welsheimer Family Funeral Home and Crematory is assisting the family with arrangements.
