 Woodruff D. Chilson, 78, of 1113 E. Miner St., died in Osteopathic Hosiptal at 4 pm Monday after an illness of two weeks.  Born in Forest, Ohio on July 26, 1884, he came here in 1918 from Muncie.   His wife, Marie, whom he married in 1934, died here in 1961.  Employed at the Oliver Corp. for 40 years, he retired in 1950.  Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Paul E. Robinson of Mishawaka, a son, Coburn of Coldwater, Mich; five grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren and a brother, Clyde of Forest.  Friends may call after 7 p today in the Forest G. Hay Funeral Home.  Services will be at 3 pm Thursday in the funeral home with Rev. Claude J. Eaton, pastor of the Lowell Heights Methodist Church of which Mr. Chilson was a member, officiating.  Burial will be in Highland Cemetery.
