Mrs. Stella Cholewczynski, 82, Carlyle Nursing Home, died at 1:28 p.m. Thursday in the home after a lengthy illness. Born on Sept 21, 1897, in Poland, she lived in South Bend for 79 years after coming from Poland. On Oct 24, 1916, as Stella Zalewski, she married William Cholewczynski, who died on Nov. 27, 1973. She is survived by five daughters, Miss Therese Cholewczynski, Mrs. Adeline Hes, Mrs. Virginia Kolesiak, Mrs. Gertruce Van Laere, and Mrs. Dorothy Kujaswki, all of South Bend.
