Judith Chrapliwy: (South Bend Tribune 2/23/1980)

Mrs. Judith L. Chrapliwy, 31, of Toledo, Ohio, formerly of South Bend, was found dead Thursday afternoon in a car in the garage of the residence. A coroner’s ruling in the death is pending toxicology tests, the coroner’s official said. Born on Sept. 6, 1948, in South Bend, she lived in Ohio 10 years. On Sept. 6, 1969, in South Bend, as Judith Elli, she married Lawrence Chrapliwy, who survives. Also surviving are her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Elli of South Bend; two sons, Kerry and Keith, both at home, and two brothers, Robert Elli of Mishawaka and John Elli of Culver. Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in St. Matthew’s Cathedral. Bishop Joseph Crowley, rector, will officiate. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery. Friends may call fro 2 to 9 p.m. Sunday in the Zahoran Funeral Home, where a rosary by the parish and St. Anthony’s Ladies Auxiliary will be recited at 4:30 p.m. Sunday.
