Alice E. Chrobot

April 3, 1915 - April 1, 2000

Alice E. Chrobot, 84, of Ramblewood Lane, South Bend, Ind., died at 11:20 p.m. on Saturday, April 1, in Miller's Merry Manor, New Carlisle, Ind.

She was born on April 3, 1915, in Manhattan, N.Y., to the late Johanna "Jennie" and Joseph Kazmierczak, and she had lived in this area for 79 years, coming from Manhattan. She was a seamstress for the former Wilson Brothers Shirt Factory and Bike Webb. She was a member of the M.R. Falconettes and the Legion of Honor of Nest 200 and the Altar and Rosary Society of Holy Family Catholic Church.

Mrs. Chrobot was married in South Bend on Sept. 22, 1934, as Alice E. Kazmierczak, to John C. Blasczyk. He preceded her in death on March 7, 1964. She married Tony Sisti in 1967. He also preceded her in death on July 23, 1974.

On June 5, 1976, she married Edwin Chrobot, who survives. She is also survived by her daughter, Sharon (Robert) Balint of South Bend; a son, Robert (Margaret) Blasczyk of Newark, Ohio; three step-sons, Edwin (Skip) Chrobot of Indianapolis, Ind., Tony Sisti of Seattle, Wash., and Richard (Marla) Sisti of South Bend; eight grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; and by seven great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, April 5, in Holy Family Catholic Church, with burial to follow in the St. Joseph Cemetery.

Family and friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, April 4, in the ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Road, where a Rosary will be prayed at 3:30 p.m.
