Evelyn C. Chrobot, 74, of South Bend, passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 20, 2006, at 9:45 p.m. in Our Lady of Peace Hospital, South Bend.

Evelyn was born on October 25, 1931, in South Bend. Her husband, Frank Chrobot passed away on April 27, 1999.

She is survived by her three children, James F. (Kathy) Chrobot of Sacramento, CA., Ken Chrobot of South Bend, and Anne (Michael) Simon of South Bend; three grandchildren, Jennifer, Jonathon, and Amy; and great-granddaughter, Brianna.

Evelyn was a member of St. Stanislaus Bishop and Martyr Catholic Church, the Kanasta club, and she loved to sew and knit. She made afghans for the Project Lioness at Riley Children's Hospital. She was a proofreader for Carlton Financial Corporation for over 20 years.

Visitation will be on Sunday, September 24, 2006, from 4 to 8 p.m. in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Road, South Bend, where a rosary will be prayed at 4:30 p.m. A Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Monday September 25, 2006, at 1 p.m. in St. Joseph Funeral Home. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, South Bend.
