SOUTH BEND - Janice K. Churchill, 55, of Old Spanish Trail, South Bend, Ind., passed away after an illness at 9:05 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 28, in Memorial Hospital. Janice was born on Nov. 21, 1942, in Mishawaka, Ind., and was a lifelong area resident.
On Jan. 2, 1981, in Sarasota, Fla., Janice K. Whitaker married Paul J. Churchill, who survives.
She is also survived by a daughter, Tammy Walker of Mishawaka, Ind.; two sons, Kenneth Walker of Mishawaka and David Churchill of South Bend; three granddaughters; two sisters, Diane Williams of Sarasota, Fla., and Gina Jackson of Harrinan, Tenn.; two brothers, Gary Whitaker of Granger, Ind., and David C. Whitaker of South Bend; and by her mother, Louise Whitaker of Mishawaka. Janice was employed by the K-Mart Corporation for 25 years as a cashier.
She was a member of the Twin City Baptist Church, Mishawaka. Services will be at 10 a.m. today in the Twin City Baptist Church. Friends called from 4 to 8 p.m. on Friday in the Bubb Funeral Chapel North, 3910 N. Main Street, Mishawaka. Burial will be at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola, Ind.
