Ann Marie Ciszczon

MISHAWAKA - Ann Marie Ciszczon, 80, of Mishawaka, died at 10:15 p.m. Tuesday, March 6, 2007, in Cardinal Nursing & Rehabilitation. She was born in Mishawaka on April 27, 1926.

 

Ann married Julius J. Ciszczon at St. Monica Catholic Church on November 6, 1948. He preceded her in death on October 13, 1994. Also preceding Ann in death were her parents, Michael and Julia (Bordas) Severa; her sisters, Rose Truckowski and Theresa Scott; brothers, Charles, Michael, John and Frank Severa; and a niece, Mary Jane Doolen. Mrs. Ciszczon is survived by a son, Steve Ciszczon of Mishawaka; daughters, Judy (Jim) Melville of Granger and Denise (Rob) Shellhamer of Edwardsburg. Among other survivors are grandchildren, Michael Melville of Indianapolis, Matthew Melville of South Bend, Nathan and Alex Shellhamer of Edwardsburg; many nieces and nephews; brothers-in-law, Joe (Julie Ann) Ciszczon of Mishawaka, Ed (Bonnie) Ciszczon of Arizona, Mike (Carol) Ciszczon of Florida, Stan Ciszczon of Ohio, Steve (Rose) Ciszczon of Granger; sisters-in-law, Julia Ciszczon, Emily Ciszczon, Joan Roberts and Stella (Ray) Chamberlin, all of Mishawaka, Rita Ciszczon of Granger and Pat Ciszczon of Illinois; and close friends, Dorothy Melville of Mishawaka and Lois Kollar of South Bend.

 

Ann was a member of the PNA Club and St. Pius Catholic Church. She enjoyed feeding and watching the birds, playing the lottery and scratch-off tickets, and her grandchildren. She had formerly been employed at Ball Band for four years. The family would like to say a special thank you to the staff at Cardinal Nursing & Rehabilitation (Auguste's Cottage) for their loving care and support of Ann.

 

Friends may visit with the family today, March 8th, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in Bubb Funeral Chapel, 3910 N. Main St., and one hour prior to service in the church on Friday. A Rosary will be recited at 4 p.m. today. The Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday in St. Pius X Catholic Church, with Fr. William Schooler officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery. Contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association of Northern Indiana.
