Sister Mary Reynalde Claffey CSC

Sister Mary Reynalde CSC, 68, formerly Catherine Claffey of Bertrand, Mich. who died at the motherhouse of the community at St. Mary’s Monday was buried this morning in the community cemetery. A requiem mass was sung at 6 a.m. in the Chapel of Loretto.

She was an alumna of St. Mary’s College, having attended school there until 1882. She entered the community in 1883 and made her final profession in 1886. Her mission life was spent in Washington DC, Baltimore, Salt Lake City and at St. Mary’s where she was associated with the departments of English and romance languages until the time of her death.
