Alonza Clark

SOUTH BEND - Alonza Clark, 90, of 150 N. Birdsell St., died at 1:55 a.m. Monday in St. Joseph's Care Center-West. Mrs. Clark was born Nov. 24, 1905, in Camden, Ala., and lived in South Bend for 75 years.

 

As Alonza Aikens, she married Alfred Clark. He died in 1960. She is survived by a daughter, Eleanor Miller of South Bend; a stepdaughter, Lula Pettis of Memphis, Tenn.; and a son, Clarence of South Bend; 10 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild; two sisters, Annie Mae Thompson of Bessemer, Ala., and Savannah Green of Mobile, Ala. She was a member of Greater St. John Missionary Baptist Church.

 

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in the church. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery. Friends may call one hour before services in the church. Clark's Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
