Beverly J. Clark

SOUTH BEND - Beverly J. Clark, 69, of Fairway Street, South Bend, died at 1:30 a.m. Saturday in Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Clark was born Oct. 30, 1927 in Racine, Wis., and was a lifelong area resident. She retired in 1989 from South Bend Drug Co.

 

On June 28, 1947, in South Bend, as Beverly Morgan, she married Charles R. Clark. He preceded her in death on Feb. 26, 1981. Surviving Mrs. Clark is her companion, John Studon of South Bend, a daughter, Diana (Dan) Lewis of South Bend, a son, Paul (Sandy) Clark of New Carlisle, a daughter-in-law, Marie Clark of South Bend; four grandchildren, Lisa King, Chrissy Lewis, Andy Clark and Kelly Sexton, all of South Bend; four great-grandchildren, Ashley Sexton, Derek Sexton, Sadie King and Ricky King, all of South Bend; three sisters, Corrina Freund and Corrine Patton, both of South Bend, and Shirley Self of Mishawaka. Preceding Mrs. Clark in death was a son, Charles Clark Jr. who died on May 15, 1992, and a brother, Burdette ''Red'' Morgan, who died in 1972.

 

Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Monday in the St. Joseph Funeral Home. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the St. Joseph Funeral Home. Burial will be in Mount Pleasant Cemetery. Mrs. Clark was an avid bowler and a member of Beacon Bowl bowling leagues.
