Brady Clark Sr.

Reverend Brady Clark Sr., 77, loving father, grandfather, great- grandfather and brother, who resided on North Wellington Street, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, Aug. 7, in Saint Joseph Hospital, Fort Wayne, Ind., following an extended illness. He was born to the late Gent and Beulah (Scott) Clark on Dec. 31, 1923, in Osceola, Ark.

 

Mr. Clark married Lillian Gray in 1941, and to this union were born five children. He had been a resident of South Bend, Ind., since 1948, coming from Portageville, Mo. Brady was a veteran of the United States Army, and was employed with the Mastic Corporation for over 19 years, retiring in 1988. He was ordained a minister at Spiritual Israel Church and Its Army in 1980.

 

Reverend Clark leaves to mourn his loss and cherish his memory three daughters, Lillie (Willie) Rogers of South Bend, Angela (Calvin) Johnson and Brenda (Fatir) Muhammad; a son, Brady Clark Jr., all of Fort Wayne, Ind.; 17 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; a sister, Elnora Scott of Lilborne, Mo.; one brother, Napoleon Clark of South Bend; along with a host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Martha Clark; two sisters, Jessie Mae Jones and Erma Scott; and by two brothers, Arthur and Clarence Clark.

 

Funeral services for Reverend Brady Clark Sr. will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday in Spiritual Israel Church and Its Army, with visitation one hour before the service.
