Jean R. Clark, 76, of 404 W. Maple Ave., North Liberty, passed away at 4:30 p.m. Saturday, March 15, 2003, at Walkerton Miller's Merry Manor after an extended illness. He was a former co-owner of the Silo Manufacturing Co. in North Liberty. He was born Nov. 10, 1926, in North Liberty and lived here a lifetime.

 

He was married in South Bend on Oct. 20, 1995, to Doris J. Price, she survives along with two daughters, Judy Rose of North Liberty and Lee Ellen Grasse of Houston, Texas; a son, Michael of North Liberty; three step daughters, Linda Dehays, of Mishawaka, Beth Groves of Elkhart and Beverly Selner of Mishawaka; one stepson, Brian Selner of North Liberty; a sister, Barbara Gavros of South Bend; two brothers, Roy of North Liberty and Terry of Muncie, Ind.; four grandchildren, four great grandchildren, six step grandchildren and five great step grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Warner and a sister, Jeanette Olson.

 

Mr. Clark was a veteran of WW II, and a member of American Legion Post #365 and VFW Post 1954, Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite of South Bend and North Liberty Masonic Lodge #266.

 

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 19, 2003, at the A.M. Manuel Funeral Home in North Liberty and officiated by Fred Stayton, pastor of the United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Westlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. A Masonic service will be conducted at the graveside. Memorial contributions can be made to the American Legion and VFW posts.
