SOUTH BEND - Joseph F. Clark, 62, of Gatehouse Drive, died of natural causes about 1:45 p.m. Wednesday in his home. Mr. Clark retired in 1994 Casteel Construction Corp. as a project manager and estimator. He was born Feb. 11, 1932, in Rarden, Ohio, and moved to this area in 1978 from North Carolina.

 

On May 18, 1957, in Portsmouth, Ohio, he married Peggy Alcorn. She survives with a daughter, Jennifer Clark of South Bend; two sons, Barry of South Bend and Gregory of North Manchester, Ind.; three grandchildren; his parents, Veryl and Robert Clark of Portsmouth; and two sisters, Kitty Born of Pickerington, Ohio, and Karen Clark of Crystal River, Fla. He was a member of Audubon Society, Wilderness Society and Disabled American Veterans. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War and received the Purple Heart.

 

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Bubb Funeral Chapel North, 3910 N. Main St., Mishawaka. Burial will be in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger, where military graveside services will be conducted by Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 360. Friends may call an hour prior to services in the funeral home.
