SOUTH BEND - LaRue J. "Larry" Clark, 69, of South Bend, IN, died on Wednesday, December 10, 2008 at home after a long battle with Huntington's Disease. LaRue "Larry" was born on April 4, 1939 in LaPorte, Indiana to John and Irma Clark, living most of his life in New Carlisle, Indiana. He is survived by his wife Maureen; a son, John C. Clark of New Carlisle, IN; two sisters, Phyllis (Tom) Tag of Chicago and Reva (Larry) Cooper of New Carlisle, IN; one brother, Mark (Annette) Clark of LaPorte, IN; two grandchildren, Christopher Clark of Cassopolis, MI; Heather (Erik) Torstenson of Elkhart, IN; one great-grandson; and three step-children, Dale Morton; Denise Morton; and James (Tricia) Morton. Larry proudly served in the U.S. Army and was an Industrial Arts teacher at New Buffalo Michigan High School until retiring in 1987. He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Scott MacDonald Clark. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, December 13, 2008 at Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive, South Bend, IN, where family and friends may visit one hour prior to services. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: Huntington's Disease Society of America, Indiana Chapter (HDSA-IN), P.O. Box 2101, Indianapolis, IN 46206 or Olive Chapel Cemetery, 32957 S.R. 2, New Carlisle, IN 46552.
