Mary Jane Clark

OSCEOLA, IN - Mary Jane Clark, 83 years old, residing on Edison Road, Osceola, passed away at 5:45 p.m. on Wednesday, July 17, 2002, at the St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, South Bend. Mrs. Clark was born on October 2, 1918, in Dunfirmline, IL, to the late John and Florence (White) Ritchie. She has lived in our local area since 1940.

 

On September 1, 1936, in St. David, IL, she married Raymond Clark, who preceded her in death on October 6, 1980. Mrs. Clark was the co-owner of the Clark Construction Company in Osceola for 50 years. She was a member of the Cedar Road Missionary Church, Osceola. Mrs. Clark dedicated her life to children's ministry for over 50 years, serving as a children's leader in Bible Study Fellowship for 22 years.

Mrs. Clark is survived by two daughters, Patricia (Charles) Mitschelen of Mishawaka and Peggy (Terry) Powell of Elkhart; seven sons, Richard (Mary) Clark of Panama City, FL, Timothy (Bobbie) Clark of Zebulon, GA, Dan (Gayle) Clark of Harleyville, SC, Bill (Carole) Clark of Mishawaka, Ron (Brenda) Clark of Osceola, Don (Audrey) Clark of Union, MI, and Raymond Clark Jr. of Osceola; 26 grandchildren, Sherri Fuson, Diane Chupp, Laurie Luebcke, Rick Clark, Scott Clark, Tracie Becker, Mary Butler, David Mitschelen, Kim Rust, Pam Mitchell, Chris Clark, Dan Clark, Carey Clark, Terri Jo Barber, Susan Cieslolka, Michele Clark, Bill Clark, Michael Clark, Erin Cook, Ryan Powell, Kristen Powell, Megan Clark, Nathan Clark, Courtney Clark, Austin Clark and Caitlin Clark; and 29 great-grandchildren.

 

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 20, 2002, at the Cedar Road Missionary Church, 525 Cedar Road, Osceola, IN 46561. Rev. James Larnard, pastor, will officiate. Graveside services and burial will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola. Friends may visit with the family from 2 - 8 p.m. today, July 19th, at the Palmer Funeral Home, 1109 Lincoln Way West, Osceola, and one hour prior to services in the church on Saturday. Contributions in memory of Mary Jane Clark may be donated to the Cedar Road Missionary Church.
