Robert Thomas Clark, 79, of South Bend, died Wednesday morning, July 6, 2005, of natural causes.

Mr. Clark was born Aug. 22, 1925, in Lafayette, Indiana, to the late Robert M. and Samantha (Biggs) Clark and had lived in South Bend since 1939 coming from Ambia and Lake Village, Indiana.

 

On Oct. 17, 1952, in Lake Village, he married Nancy Suzanne Tarbell, who preceded him in death January 5, 1996. Mr. Clark is survived by many wonderful friends, neighbors, cousins and members of his deceased wife's family.

 

He was employed at Ball Band/Uniroyal for 30 years. He later became a residential real estate appraiser until his retirement in 1998. He was a member of the South Bend Kiwanis Club, St. Patrick's Catholic Church, and was a graduate of South Bend Central High School.

 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday, July 11 in St. Patrick's Catholic Church, with Rev. Richard Laurick, CSC officiating. Entombment will follow at Riverview Cemetery. Friends may call from 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday, July 10 in the Welsheimer Family Funeral Home, 521 N. William Street. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Patrick's Catholic Church, 309 S. Taylor St., South Bend, IN 46601 or to Pet Refuge, 2300 W. 6th Street, Mishawaka, IN 46544.
