Warner Dale Clark

Warner Dale Clark, 73, of 123 Clark St., Walkerton, Ind., died on Tuesday, Oct. 8, in the Veterans Administration Medical Center, Fort Wayne, Ind. He was born on July 23, 1923, in North Liberty, Ind., to Vernon and Florence (Steele) Clark.

 

On Oct. 29, 1944, in Walkerton, he married Iva E. Smith, who survives with two daughters, Sue (Mrs. Gary) Shields of Walkerton and Ann (Mrs. Lee) Zumbaugh of Culver; a son, Gary (wife Mary) of Walkerton; two sisters, Jeanette Olsen and Barbara Gavros, both of South Bend; three brothers, Roy and Jean Clark, both of North Liberty and Terry of Muncie, Ind.; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandsons.

 

Mr. Clark was a World War II veteran of the U.S. Navy. He was past chaplin of the Walkerton American Legion, past master of Walkerton Lodge 619, F&AM, part owner of the Silo Manufacturing Company, Inc. of North Liberty, and a member of the Walkerton United Methodist Church.

 

Services will be at 11 a.m., Friday, Oct. 11, in the Walkerton United Methodist Church, with Dr. Donald Lacy officiating. Visitation will be from 2 to 5 and 6 to 8 p.m., today, at Rannells Funeral Home, Koontz Lake Chapel, and one hour before services at the church on Friday. A masonic service will be at 7:30 p.m., today, in the funeral home. Burial will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery, Walkerton, with military graveside services conducted by the Walkerton American Legion. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Walkerton United Methodist Church.
