SOUTH BEND - Services for Edith D.
Clauson, 76, of Erskine Boulevard, who died at 3:45 p.m.
Saturday in her home, will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Forest G. Hay
Funeral Home, 1201 S. Michigan St. Cremation will follow. Friends
may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today in the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of St. Joseph
County Inc.
Mrs. Clauson retired from the office of Dr.
John D. Leipold after 10 years of service as a medical secretary
and was employed by Dr. Lester Borough for 15 years. She was born
Feb. 14, 1919, in Washington Court House, Ohio, and had lived in
South Bend most of her life.
On April 19, 1943, in South Bend, as Edith DeWees,
she married Jack W. Clauson. He died Dec. 26, 1994. She is
survived by a son, Steven of South Bend; and three sisters, Peggy
Self, Donna Murdock and Dixie DeWess, all of
Washington Court House. She was a member of Ridgedale
Presbyterian Church, American Bell Collections Association and
Adeline International.
