Thomas Lee Clay

Mr. Thomas ''Tommie'' Lee Clay, 59, of 2426 Roger Street, South Bend, Ind., passed away after a sudden illness on Friday, Jan. 16, at Memorial Hospital. He was born on April 14, 1938, to the union of Fern (Cavitt) and Richard Tho-mas Clay in Bradford, Tenn.

 

Mr. Clay was united in Holy Matrimony on Jan. 6, 1998, in South Bend, to Michelle Parchman, who survives. Mr. Clay was employed at the Dodge Division of the Reliance Electric Company. Leaving to cherish his memory and mourn his passing is his loving wife, Michelle Clay; two daughters, Bridget Gray of Flint, Mich., and Lisa Gunn of Beloit, Wisc.; a son, Pastor Bobby Gray of Collins, Miss.; four stepdaughters, Latonya Allen, Toni Maefield, Beverly Wingo and Rhonda Campbell; two stepsons, Glenn Phillips and Willie Bradshaw, all of South Bend; three sisters, Gwendolyn Clay, Sheila Clay and Vanessa Clay, all of South Bend; five brothers, Richard Harold Clay of Dallas, Texas, Jerry, Donald, Dale and Johnathon Clay, all of South Bend; along with a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

 

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday at the Bethlehem Baptist Church. Friends may call from noon, one hour prior to the time of services at the church. Alford's Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
