Ada Lorraine Clewell

Ada Lorraine Clewell, age 77, of Hickory Rd., in Mishawaka, passed away at her residence on April 6, 2002 of natural causes. Ada was born on September 26, 1924 to Richard Andrew "Andy" and Bertie Mae (Crafton) Robbins in Carrollton, Kentucky.

 

On March 31, 1996, she married Guy Clewell in South Bend. He survives.

 

Also surviving are her sons, Robert Ford of Bowling Green, Kentucky, and Kenneth Ray Robbins and his wife, Diana of Osceola, Indiana. Surviving daughters include Tina Smith and her husband, Cleon, of Bristol, Indiana, and Linda Wenger and her husband Jim of Seattle, Washington, along with 11 grandchildren, and 19 great-grandchildren. Preceding Mrs. Clewell in death were her brothers, Orville "Dave" Robbins and William Thomas Robbins, and her sisters, Viola Sholey and Nadine Marsh.

 

Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. today, Monday April 8, 2002 in Chapel Hill Funeral Home, Osceola. Services will be conducted by Reverend Scott Smith in Southside Baptist Church in South Bend, on Tuesday, April 9, 2002 at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Clewell was employed as a home care provider for several years. She also previously had worked for Strauss Bakeries. Memorial donations may be given to Southside Baptist Church, P.O.
