Frances E. Clingenpeel

Frances E. Clingenpeel, 92, of West Johnson Road, South Bend, Ind., passed away at 8 a.m. Friday, Nov. 8, in Miller's Merry Manor Nursing Home, New Carlisle, Ind.

Mrs. Clingenpeel was born on April 15, 1910, in South Bend, and resided in the South Bend area since 1992, coming from Port Richey, Fla. Prior to moving to Florida, she lived in the Michiana area.

On June 20, 1934, in North Liberty, Ind., as Frances E. Kane, she married Lenden H. Clingenpeel, who preceded her in death on May 11, 1992. She was also preceded in death by two sons, Jerry L. Clingenpeel on Oct. 22, 2002, and James C. Clingenpeel on Feb. 3, 1991; and by a daughter, Phyllis J. Sherrod on Dec. 24, 1999.

Frances is survived by six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, whom she loved and cherished.

She will not only be missed by her family, she will be missed by all who knew her. She was a loving, caring wife, mother and grandmother.

Visitation hours will be from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 13th, in Lakeside Baptist Church, Lakeville, Ind. Funeral services will take place at 11 a.m. in the church, with Pastor Vito Rulli officiating.

Burial will take place at Eastlawn Cemetery, North Liberty.

The family requests that all memorial contributions be made to Lakeside Baptist Church, 515 Michigan Trail, Lakeville, IN 46536; or to the charity of donor's choice.

Mrs. Clingenpeel was a former member of the First Christian Church, Chiefland, Fla.

The HANLEY & Sons "Southwest Chapel" Funeral Home, located at West Ireland Road and Indiana 23, South Bend, handled arrangements and services, and extend deepest sympathy to the Clingenpeel family.
